France Tax Law - Revamped Website

Friday, 9 August 2024

Its time to start reporting on projects again (yep, it's been a while!), after a lull on our part on adding them to the news section on wayfresh. We have launched lots of websites over the last 12 months but now is time to give ourselves a blog related 'kick up the rear' and share them!

The client is France Tax Law who are a Newcastle based French notaire service dealing with everything France tax related for people looking to move to France and the complexities that entails with property and family law. As a plus side the owner also has an office in the same building with us here at wayfresh in Newcastle.

The original first website was done a few years ago and since then has grown in size significantly due to the ongoing organic SEO strategy to grow the website. The site has been seeing PPC and organic search growth for around 18 months and had reached a point where the main site navigation that was initially implemented was not really working as best it could any more.

The initial site relied on a pure burger menu (top right slide out menu) for navigation but due to the increase in pages and sections this had become too large to use effectively on a mobile device.

The brief then was to make the navigation much more simplistic and also slot the website into our amazing Fresh Admin platform (our newest drag and drop Content Management System). This will allow for easier and more cost effective updating and growth of the website as the SEO strategy continues into 2025.

One of the biggest problems initially faced with the web design was the menu. Fitting everything into the main navigation that is needed can be tricky. So, we took the main areas out onto a wide top area managing to keep everything visible for most screen users and kept a burger menu for everything else.

The site web design was rebranded into a black and white look moving away from the previous red colour and a reliance on curves to frame the elements on each page. This originally was a nice look, but the corporate needs of France Tax Law had become much more prevalent and that curvy/red look didn't fit in with the nature of the business any more.

The black and white rebrand of the site allows for punchy clear buttons in black and white and a much more serious look to fit in with the notaire side of the French law advice given. With larger imagery and less of a reliance on background images as previously done, we have delivered a clean appealing easy to use website for France Tax Law that will allow their business to grow as their Search Engine Optimisation continues, pushing them to the forefront of Google results for all things French tax related in the UK.

If your business has a current website that is looking like it needs a refresh and an SEO review to better target your audience to keep potential customers on your site for longer and get those main enquiry buttons clicked then speak to the team at wayfresh.

Even if you're not sure if you need to rework your site, we can advise and if we feel its fine as it is then we will be up front about that. Ultimately, we want your online business to succeed and if a new or updated website isn't right you won't get any hard sell from us!
